Assign prefix as identifier

By assigning a prefix, the automatic ID assignment enables you to identify the users who created database items. Prefixes in combination with a sequential number are assigned as identifiers and specified for the Identifier attribute. Each user has a prefix. If no individual prefix has been explicitly assigned to users, the standard database prefix is assigned automatically.

Prerequisite

You have the User management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. In ARIS Advanced Architect, click ARIS > Show Administration Administration.

  2. Click Navigation Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.

  3. Log in to the database.

  4. Click Users Users in the Navigation bar.

  5. In the table, right-click the user or user group, and select Properties Properties.

  6. Click Identifier on the Selection tab.

    In the Prefix column, all prefixes created in the database are displayed.

  7. In the Assign column, enable the option button for the relevant prefix and click OK.

If you have enabled automatic ID assignment, this prefix followed by a sequential number is specified for each database item created by this user (Identifier attribute).
