Replace object symbol for definition

You can replace the default object symbol with another object symbol if multiple object symbols are defined for an object.

Prerequisite

You need the Write access privilege for the target group.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click ARIS > Explorer Explorer. The Explorer tab opens.

  2. Log in to the relevant database.

  3. In the Explorer tree click the group in which the object is stored.

  4. Right-click the object.

  5. Click Properties Properties in the Start tab bar.

  6. Click Occurrences on the Selection tab.

  7. In the Default symbol box, select the object symbol to be used for occurrences of the object in models in the future.

    You will see all symbols that the method filter used allows for the object. If you select [According to ARIS Method], the default symbol specified by ARIS Method is used.

  8. Clicking Pass on symbol displays all existing occurrences with the changed symbol.

  9. Click OK.

Occurrences of this object definition are displayed with the changed symbol. Definition copies are not affected.
