Unlock objects

You can unlock permanently locked objects in order to release them for editing for all users with the corresponding privilege.

Prerequisite

  • You have the Lock permanently function privilege or are a system user.

  • The selected objects were not locked at the same time as a model. If an object is locked per model, it can only be unlocked if the relevant model is unlocked.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click ARIS > Explorer Explorer. The Explorer tab opens.

  2. Open the relevant database, click the relevant group, and select the locked objects on the Objects tab.

  3. Right-click in the selection.

  4. Click Lock/Unlock > Unlock Unlock. The Unlock objects dialog opens in which you can select further objects for unlocking.

  5. Add further objects, if necessary.

  6. Click OK.

The dialog closes and the objects are unlocked. The user who locked the items and system users can remove the lock. System users have the Administrator: Unlock menu item to do so.
